Listed below are the software I use daily. They are pretty good.
I use Firefox for everything. It has been my main browser since I've started to use Linux. It's fast, responsive and we are helping to keep the web free from the dominance of chromium-based browsers.
I use Alacritty as my main terminal. It's does it job well, while having a comprehensive configuration file, that applies immediately without having to leave my terminal. I don't have much else to say, but Alacritty is a stable and safe choice.
Although I've tried to get into dynamic tiling window managers, I find their use too complicated for me. So my Window manager of choice is i3. Fast, easy configuration and easy use are really good features of it. I use it mostly with no modifications, except for gaps.
While most of the major matrix clients are running with electron, Gomuks does a pretty decent job at being a usable and nice chat client on the terminal. It has some features like replying with mouse selection, opening images externally automatically, and others. The only downside of it is that is hard to get your session verified.
